Traditional Heiltsuk Food

This booklet was created in 1994 in a partnership between Heiltsuk College and the Open Learning Agency. It was produced alongside luncheons that occured between Elders and youth in Bella Bella. This extensive document includes Heiltsuk language on traditional foods It also includes recipes, preparation practices, plant medicines, the seasonal Heiltsuk food calendar, protocols and folklore.
