First Nations Traditional Foods Fact Sheets

The First Nations Health Authority has published an informative set of facts sheets on traditional foods including their nutritional values, traditional harvesting methods, and history of uses. Topics include fish, salmon, eulachon, herring, octopus, crab, shrimp, sea cucumber, clams, mussels, oysters, moose, deer, rabbits, beaver, birds, seaweed, roots, berries and plants. This guide also includes a recipes section which includes some of these foods.
