Empathy, Dignity, and Respect: Creating cultural safety for Aboriginal people in urban health care

In this commentary, we provide what we heard about the reasons why cultural competency and cultural safety are needed. It is intended to serve as a primer on the issue for health care providers and leaders, governments, and the Canadian public.
